Which one is better for me? Pies... or cigarettes?
My lungs say "pies, pies!", but my ass says "put the pie down and have a cigarette, love".
Right now, I'm really enjoying being able to eat whatever I want and then use the excuse that I just stopped smoking... oh wait, maybe that's just for pregnancy?
Any how, regardless of whether it's a good thing or not that I'm on the slow road to obesity (but with healthy lungs), I've found the best shop in Edinburgh that sells vegan pies and I want to share it with y'all.
I used to always walk past there and think "Gee, I'd love a pie", but never go in, presuming there definitely wouldn't be any vegan pies, let alone an entire sections of vegan pies, until a thread came up on Facebook talking about different veg friendly places and mentioned the Piemaker. So I waddled my post smoking/continuously eating body to the pie shop and got me a pie.
The shop is up on South Bridge in Old town is making some amazing pies for vegans that love junk food.
Reasonable price (for Edinburgh) at £1.80 a pie, and a selection of about 5 or 6 different pies to choose from.
And I have to say they're pretty tasty, I find with a lot of vegan pastries that they can be very dry and flavourless, but these guys have got it sorted.
Go get yourself a pie too. I'm pretty sure it's just a rumor that they're bad for you.
